Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is born 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora or sometimes stylized with uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 and received great reviews from the music blogosphere as well as media. She's recorded a variety of well-known cover songs, like Half the World Away (by the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) The songs were widely appreciated. Katy Perry's support for the song Runaway via a blog post earned the artist additional appreciation. Happy birthday to her. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of locating an attic piano and being fascinated by the sound it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not for an income or to pursue just a pastime, but as a way to improve. She began to write writing her own songs. Her influences include renowned authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to the style of Bjork. She began performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mother suggested that they could help people not gain fame through her music but instead help people see around them realize the importance of their work and how they have an impact on the world. When she was six, she began to play on the piano. When she turned nine began writing her own songs. Her family didn't hear about it until she reached fourteen. There was no way she could have imagined to turn into Aurora. The singer claims that she is a fan of making music. Music is for her an ideal method of feeling everything.
